This is a ghost story that is as delicate as a cherry blossom but as insidious as a bug under your skin. It creeps up on you and twists away before you can get your bearings. With plenty of nods to The Secret Garden, it is clever and beautiful. A haunting tale with characters that keep you intrigued. The Japan setting is respectful and full of little amusing details. Superb, a real winner.
